National Park
The largest National Park in the Netherlands
A rich saltwater world surrounded by a ring of brackish nature reserves. The wind and tides ensure there is something new to discover every day. Get out and enjoy the many birds, the surprises at the tide line and the wonderful submarine world. Discover the tangible history of the people of Zeeland and the sea.
The Oosterschelde area is centrally located in Zeeland and connected to the North Sea, the Grevelingenmeer and the Veerse Meer. The Oosterschelde is surrounded by Schouwen-Duiveland, Tholen, Zuid-Beveland and Noord-Beveland. If you’d like more detailed information, you can take a look at the detailed map of the Oosterschelde National Park Foundation. For more interesting facts about the Oosterschelde, see the Oosterschelde National Park website (www. npoosterschelde.nl).
Since 2009, all Oosterschelde campsites are national park ‘hosts’. This means you can get many free maps and guides from the campsite reception. We would be happy to point out the many interesting spots around the Oosterschelde.
